Abstract:

PURPOSE: To photograph with a first priority given over a shutter chance but a red-eye effect mitigation in a mode where the shutter chance is regarded as important by providing a means for inhibiting the operation of a red-eye effect mitigating means in the case a servo AF mode is set by a mode setting means.

CONSTITUTION: The state of a mode switch 35 is confirmed, and in the case the AF mode is set, a photometric value stored by photometic processing is decided, and then, when the brightness is low, an incandescent lamp 32 is lighted through a driving circuit 28 so as to illuminate an object and to start the red-eye mitigating operation, on the other hand, when the brightness is high, a shutter 7 is made in an open state so as to start exposing a film 8. That is, when the mode switch is turned on, that is, in the case of the servo AF mode is selected, the shutter 7 is made in an open state so that the film 8 can be exposed. And even in such the case the object brightness is low and then a stroboscopic device is required, the red-eye effect mitigating function is inhibited when the servo AF mode is set.
