Title:
MOLDING FOR CULTURING CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0638733
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a molding, excellent in safety and light transmitting properties and useful for culturing a vascular endothelial cell, etc., with no fear of elution by immobilizing an N-acylneuraminic acid to the surface of an insoluble carrier through amide bond.

CONSTITUTION: The molding is obtained by immobilizing an N-acylneuraminic acid on the surface of an insoluble carrier prepared by introducing aminomethyl groups into the surface of a vinyl polymer molding (e.g. a Petri dish or a bottle) consisting essentially of styrene or α-methylstyrene through amide bond. Furthermore, this molding is brought into contact with a tissual cell to afford a cytokine such as interleukin-6.
