Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the reduction of a hardware scale and to minimize the increase of redundant degree by recording an audio signal for which an error correction encoding is performed by dividing them into at least two video/audio coexisting tracks. CONSTITUTION:A video/audio coexisting track 108 has two video recording areas 109, 110 and two audio recording areas 111, 112 and the video recording areas and audio recording areas are alternately arranged. This video/audio coexisting track is scanned by only two reproduction heads of 16 reproduction heads and the remaining 14 reproduction heads scan only a track used exclusively for video without scanning the video/audio coexisting track. In this case, the data amount per an audio recording area is increased and a reproduction is easily and stably performed. Only three edit gaps are used per 8 tracks and the redundant degree is suppressed.
