Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate discrimination and storage of a characteristic of a signal by observer by reading out amplitude and a phase of the signal at each time, and differentiating phase with time to obtain frequency in response to the set display range. CONSTITUTION:Display range is set by a display range setting means 5, and A/D conversion 1 is performed to the input signal, and thereafter, digital signal thereof is sent to a delay unit 2 and a 90 degree phase converter 3 to divide the signal into sine component and cosine component. Furthermore, divided signal is sent to a Gauss-coordinate/polar coordinate converter 4 to convert the signal into amplitude and phase, and the amplitude and the phase are sent to a display control computing means 6. Amplitude Mk and phase Pk of the signal at each time K is read out, and the phase Pk is differentiated with time to obtain frequency Fk and obtain angle thetak corresponding to logarithm of the frequency Fk in response to the setting display range. Positions on the faceplate of a display 7 corresponding to angle thetak and radius Rk are pointed in order to draw locus.
