PURPOSE: To enhance the corrosion resistance, the contamination-resistant property, the wear-resistant property and the weatherability of a conductive base material which is used mainly to shield unwanted radiant electromagnetic waves.

CONSTITUTION: In a conductive base material in which a conductive layer 2 has been formed on a fabriclike base material 1, a resin film 3 is formed on the conductive layer 2. Thereby, the conductive layer 2 which is exposed in conventional cases is protected by the resin film 3, the corrosion of the conductive layer 2 is prevented, and the contamination-resistant property, the wear- resistant property and the weatherability of the conductive base material are enhanced. In addition, when the resin film 3 is colored properly or patterned, the conductive base material can have a designing property.
