Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable the exact sales data register processing of sold merchandise equal with in-line time by providing an off-line time registration processing for registering the sales data of sold merchandise based on merchandise data.
CONSTITUTION: When the code of sold merchandise is inputted at the in-line time, with that code as a retrieval key, inquiry is executed to a host instrument and based on these received merchandise data, the sales data of sold merchandise are registered. When an off-line table 34 is retrieved and the merchandise data of the same code as the received merchandise data are not stored yet, those received merchandise data are added to the off-line table 34 but when they are already stored, the contents of the merchandise data corresponding to the same code are updated into the contents of the received merchandise data. On the other hand, when the code of sold merchandise is inputted at off-line time, with that code as the retrieval key, the off-line table 34 is retrieved and when a code matched with the retrieval key is detected, based on merchandise data corresponding to that code, the sales data of sold merchandise are registered.
