PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacture a lidded paper container the body and lid of which can be produced at the same step of manufacturing process and which can be produced in any tubular shape easily.

CONSTITUTION: On one side of a thin, rectangular main paper element 3 a thin, rectangular auxiliary paper element 4 is superposed in such a way that a part of it projects from one end of the main paper element and stuck thereto by adhesion. Then the main paper element 3 is bent into a tubular shape with the auxiliary paper element enveloped inside. A part of the main paper element on the side of the other end is folded double inward to form a tucked part 6 and a part of the main paper element on the side of the tucked part is severed to a suitable length by cutting breadthways to form a main paper element 8. On the forward end of the part turned back of this separated main paper element 8 a piece of lid paper 11 is held and the separated main paper element 8 is fitted with it by being mutually joined and fixed to form a lid body 13. On the forward end of a part tucked in 9 formed at the end cut off of the main paper element a piece of bottom paper 10 is held and the main paper element is fitted with it by being mutually joined and fixed to form a container body 12.
