Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily observe the inside of a housing. CONSTITUTION:The center part of the housing 3 consists of a liquid crystal display element(LCD) 4 which has a transparent mode. A touch panel 5 is arranged on the LCD 4 and a disk device 1 is operated by its depressing operation. A mark 6 indicating a depression position for turning ON and OFF the LCD 4 is formed at the right upper part of the panel 5. When the LCD 4 is turned ON, the LCD 4 displays character information Da regarding the disk in a cartridge and operation buttons Db of the disk device 1. The disk device 1 can optionally be operated by pressing the panel 5 corresponding to the operation buttons Db. No operation button needs to be arranged on a cabinet main body 2 to save the space. When the LCD 4 is OFF, the LCD 4 is in a transparent state and the label 102 of the cartridge can be observed from outside. The recording contents of the disk and the kind of the cartridge can be decided without taking the cartridge out.
