Abstract:
PURPOSE:To produce Al powder adequate for cement foaming, etc., by cutting Al foil of a prescribed thickness by means of a shredder, subjecting the cut foil to annealing and removal of fatty acids, then adding a specific amt. of a fatty acid thereto and grinding the foil to a specific grain size and thickness. CONSTITUTION:The Al foil rolled to about <=10mu thickness is cut to about 1mm square by the shredder and thereafter, the cut foil is annealed and the fatty acids contained therein are removed. The fatty acid (stearic acid, etc.) is then added at <=4wt.% to this Al foil pieces and the pieces are ground to 0.5-44mu average grain size and 0.05-0.4mu average thickness by using >=1 grinders selected from a ball mill, stamp mill, vibration mill, attriter, etc. The Al powder to be used for kneading in synthetic resins and for pigments, paints, etc., is thereby obtd.
