Abstract:
Compsn. comprises 10-25 pts. wt. of (a) PE copolymer contg. at least 90 wt. % of ethylene and 75-90 pts. wt. of (b) PE copolymer contg. 0.5-2.5 wt. % of ethylene. The difference in limiting viscosity of (a) (eta a) and that of (b) (eta b) (eta a-eta b) is 0.2 to 1.2 d1/g. The PE copolymer compsn. is produced by copolymerising propylene and ethylene in the presence of stereospecific catalyst so that (a) constitutes 10-25 pts. wt. of the compsn. and copolymerising propylene and ethylene so that (b) constitutes 75-90 pts. wt. of the compsn., ensuring that (eta a - eta b) becomes -0.2 to +1.2 d1/g.
