PURPOSE: To facilitate automation and to enable production of the film cartridge at a low cost without degrading production efficiency and yield by supplying and guiding ribbon-shaped teremp from a transverse direction to a slit forming part and sticking the teremp.

CONSTITUTION: Risers 15, 16 in the slit forming part 12 of the cartridge made of a synthetic resin are formed only in a deep part at both ends and the end faces of these risers 15, 16 are joined, by which the slits are formed on the flank sides when an upper part 10 and a lower part 11 are joined. The lower part 11 is supplied to a prescribed position and is held in a standby state. The ribbon-shaped teremp 20 coated with an adhesive on its rear surface is then guided to the slit forming part 12 along the transverse direction just before supply and is pressed by a pressing means 21, thereby, secure adhesion is executed. A cutter 22 operates cooperatively with the pressing and the teremp 20 is cut.
