Abstract:
PURPOSE: To distribute a timing synchronization signal between plural nodes by adjusting a slave node, so that a clock frequency between the nodes matches by responding to difference of measurement values of a first and a second time delay. CONSTITUTION: A ring-type network is provided with master nodes 100, 200, and the slave nodes 110, 300 and data is put in and out from and to a network 10. Each of the nodes 100, 200, 110, 300 is provided with a clock for providing timing information with a device at its node. The time delay with which the data to propagate the network 10 encounters is measured by the master nodes 100, 200, and the measurement value is transmitted to the slave nodes 110, 300. Similar measurement value of the time delay is generated in the slave nodes 100, 300 and compared with the measurement value transferred from the master nodes 100, 200. Error between these two measurement values is used to adjust the frequency of the clock in the slave.
