Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately, simply and inexpensively adjust a relative position of a 1st magnetic head and a 2nd magnetic head without using an adjusting floppy disk.
CONSTITUTION: The 1st magnetic head 7 to be a reference is operated as a transmitter, while the 2nd magnetic head 8 to be adjusted is operated as a receiver, and the 2nd magnetic head 8 is adjusted to maximize degree of electromagnetic coupling. After adjusting, the 2nd magnetic head 8 is moved by a distance of 4×N×Tp (N: natural number, Tp: track pitch) in the track direction so that the adjustment is completed.
