Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent hammering noise caused by collision of reaction transmitting means with a valve plunger by connecting the reaction transmitting means to the valve plunger with an elastic member.
SOLUTION: The reaction transmitting means of a brake booster is equipped with a first retainer 41 arranged on a valve plunger 17 side; a second retainer 43 arranged on a reaction disc 35 side; a stopper member 42 by which the first retainer 41 and the second retainer 43 are prevented from being separated from each other more than a predetermined distance; and a spring 44 elastically mounted between the first retainer 41 and the second retainer 43 by a predetermined set load. A small diametral part 17A projected to a front side is formed in the end part of this valve plunger 17, and an elastic member 45 is arranged on the periphery of the small diametral part 17A, and also an inside cylindrical part 41a projected to the front side is formed on the shaft part of the first retainer 41, and fitted to the periphery of the small diametral part 17A by compressing the elastic member 45.
