Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable in which inverting parts can be easily identified from the outside of a sheath and is good in taking-out property of optical fibers after laying. SOLUTION: The optical cable 11 is formed by assembling plural optical fibers 6i and 6o around a central member 2 containing metallic tension member 3 at its center to an S-Z twist form and covering the circumferences of these optical fibers 6i and 6o with the sheath 10. The tension members 3 have magnetized parts Z1 and Z2 disposed in the positions corresponding to the inverting parts Ri and Ro of the S-Z loci formed by the optical fibers 6i and 6o.
