Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a magneto-optical recording medium capable of overwriting and having >53dB C/N ratio (C/N ratio is value obtd. by writing marks having 1.6μm period with laser beams of high level PH and reproducing the marks so that medium noise is made max. as compared with other noise).
CONSTITUTION: This magneto-optical recording medium capable of overwriting only by modulation of laser beams contains at least a reproducing layer R of GdFeCo, a memory layer M of TbFeCo, an exchange coupling force (σw) regulating layer Int of GdFeCo and a writing layer W of DyFeCo.
