PURPOSE: To prevent erroneous input of terminal information in the exchange system and to relieve the load of confirmation and correction with respect to erroneous input of terminal information and erroneous connection of a terminal equipment.

CONSTITUTION: A terminal information registration means 505 registers terminal information applied via an input means 601 in a maintenance terminal 6 to a storage means 701 in a storage device 7 so as to make corresponding to its port. A collation request means 502 sends a collation request to a collation means 503 at the input of terminal information from the maintenance terminal 6, at start-up of an exchange system and a terminal class collation request from the maintenance terminal 6. The collation means 503 receives a collation request from the collation request means 502 to collate each terminal class of terminal equipments 4011-401h. detected by a detection means 501 and each terminal class registered to the storage means 701 corresponding to the port and a display control means 504 displays the collation result to a display means 602 in the maintenance terminal 6.
