Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC BELT PHOTORECEPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3058013
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain printed images free from image defects and to prolong the life of a photoreceptor belt by specifying the shape of the stepped part of a belt joint.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet photoreceptor which is obtd. by forming an aluminum layer 2 formed by a vapor deposition treatment of aluminum on a base film 3 consisting of a PET film and footing a photoreceptor layer 1 thereon is connected by ultrasonic fusion welding 4 at about 1mm width. Further, the front surface of the juncture formed in such a manner is formed with a post treatment region 5 where a resin is applied and is corrected in its shape. In such a case, the post treatment is executed in such a manner that the surface difference in level in the post treatment region 5 as the shape after the post treatment is below the radius of carriers or other foreign matter anticipated to adhere on the photoreceptor in an electrophotographic process utilizing the belt photoreceptor and that at least either of the contact angles of the end of the post treatment region and the surface of the photoreceptor are below 15°C.
