Abstract:
PURPOSE:To ensure the smooth connection between two patches symmetrical to each other centering on a shared boundary without losing this symmetricalness, by forming two internal control points symmetrical to each other centering on the shared boundary. CONSTITUTION:1st and 2nd three-side type framework spaces adjacent to each other are formed by a framework processing and the patches shown by the prescribed vector functions are added to said framework spaces. Thus a free curved surface is obtained. That is, the 1st and 2nd patches T(U,V,W)1 and T(U,V,W)2 shown by two internal control points (P(U1)1, P(U2)1) and (P(U1)2, P(U2)2) symmetrical to each other centering on a shared boundary COM1 are provided to those 1st and 2nd framework spaces. In such a way, two patches symmetrical to each other centering on the COM1 are connected smoothly to each other without losing this symmetricalness.
