Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable accurate detection of a discharge by making a cracked gas sensor operate by using an output signal of a partial discharge sensor as a trigger.
CONSTITUTION: A partial discharge sensor 16 and a cracked gas sensor 18 detecting a cracked gas produced by generation of a partial discharge are provided, and the sensor 18 is made to operate by a detection signal of the sensor 16. Besides, the sensor 18 is made to operate periodically irrespective of the operation based on the detection signal of the sensor 16 and thereby readjustment of a threshold of the sensor 18 is made. According to the method of making the sensor 18 operate by the detection signal of the sensor 16, the sensor 18 needs to be operated only when the discharge is estimated to be generated, and in addition, it can be operated at an excellent timing. Therefore the cracked gas can be detected accurately. By the periodical operation of the sensor 18 and the readjustment of the threshold thereof, the sensitivity of the sensor 18 is improved.
