PURPOSE: To provide an ink-jet color recording method, by which different-color ink is not mixed mutually on a color boundary on general plain paper and a color image having excellent character grade and color density and no unevenness of density and a high grade can be formed.

CONSTITUTION: In an ink-jet color recording method conducting recording so that two colors or more of ink droplets are adjoined or superposed, a recording method, in which recording is performed onto plain paper by using ink containing a 1.0-20.0wt.% nonionic surface-active agent as ink, is employed, the discharge of ink corresponding to one pulse extends over 10-70pl per one nozzle, and a bleeding ratio (A) shown in general formula [I] is kept within a range of 2.5-3.5.
