Title:
ANTISLIP TILE AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2576322
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a stainproof antislip tile.
CONSTITUTION: An unglazed tile 1 is coated with a glaze having high melt viscosity and a contact angle of 10-40° measured by the button test at the firing temperature of the unglazed tile. Hard particles having a melting point higher than the baking temperature of the unglazed tile are scattered on the surface of the glaze layer 2 and the tile is fired at a temperature to convert the unglazed tile to ceramic material. The antislip tile produced by this process has a glaze layer on the tile surface and hard particles 3 protruded from the surface of the glaze layer. The glossiness of the glaze layer is ≥15% (at an incidence angle of 60°) and the surface roughness is 0.10. The glaze has smooth surface and is resistant to staining and slippage.
