Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a sufficient strength even in the case a chopped strand mat is used in drawout shaping process by making the most of the respective features of a robing cloth, continuous strand mat, and the chopped strand mat.
SOLUTION: A fish plate 1 for rails is made of fiber-reinforced thermosetting resin installed as striding over the side faces of the end parts of two adjoining rails and fastened thereto by bolts. The fish plate 1 is formed from a mat layer 1a and robing layer 1b, wherein the mat layer 1a is structured so that a chopped strand mat is pinched by mat material having a certain strength for a tensile strength.
