PURPOSE: To attain the quickening of processings such as the moving of a graphic and so forth by providing a selecting means selecting a graphic, a specifying means specifying a moving destination, an instructing means instructing the display chageover of a simpified graphic and an original graphic and a display means.

CONSTITUTION: A graphic to be moved is selected from among graphics being displayed on a CRT display 11 by depressing (clicking) the left button of a mouse 15 with one operation. Then, a movement processing is started when the selected graphic is instructed and the left button of the mouse 15 is depressed. Next, in the case the key of 'a virtual input' is depressed, when the selected graphic is of a rectangular display, nothing is performed and when it is of a graphic display, a rectangule circumscribing the outside of the whole of the selected graphic is calculated and the selected graphic is erased and the cicumscribed rectangle is displayed instead of the selected graphic. Moreover, in the case the key of the virtual input is not depressed and when the selected graphic is not of the rectangular display, nothing is performed and when the graphic is of the rectangular display, the rectangle is erased and the whole of the selected graphic is displayed. Next, the graphic is displayed by moving a mouse cursor according to the movement of the mouse 15.
