PURPOSE: To increase the S/N of a digitizer by forming a thin film dielectric layer on a patterned transparent resistor.
CONSTITUTION: A platy glass substrate 21 having a prescribed thickness and area is formed on the upper surface of a platy display device 24 having a prescribed thickness and area and a transparent resistor 22 having prescribed electrical conductivity is formed in a prescribed pattern on the upper surface of the substrate 21. A thin film dielectric layer 26 having a thickness of about 1-20μm is formed on the upper surface of the resistor 22 by repeatedly screen- printing dielectric material paste having a prescribed dielectric constant to the upper surface of the resistor 22 and baking the paste at about 500-600°C or vapor-depositing a dielectric layer of SiO2, etc. Since the thin film dielectric layer is formed on the patterned transparent resistor, the value of the capacitance generated by the voltage impressed upon a stylus can be increased and the S/N of a digitizer can be increased.
