Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce labor requirements and time, to stabilize operation, and to industrially and advantageously obtain the title granulated fertilizer having desired grain diameter by picking up granulated fertilizer as a still picture, processing the picture by a computer, and determining the manipulated variable from the obtained information. CONSTITUTION:The fertilizer material 2, water and/or steam 3, and circulating fine powder 4 are supplied to a granulator 1, and the granulator 1 is turned to granulate the mixture. The granulated fertilizer is dried 9, and the obtain dried fertilizer 10 is screened into the fine powder, product, and coarse grains which are respectively introduced into hoppers 11, 12, and 13. Meantime, the flow 5 of granulated fertilizer is photographed as a still picture. The granulated fertilizer introduced into the hopper 12 is discharged from an outlet 14 as the product fertilizer. When the size of the grain is recognized as small by the computer processing, etc., the water content of the granulated fertilizer in the granulator 1 is increased. Meanwhile, the water content of the granulated fertilizer in the granulator 1 is reduced when the size is recognized as large, and the growth of the granulated fertilizer is controlled.
