Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a method for inspecting airtightness which can detect the airtightness failure of a battery accurately without reducing the working efficiency in a process for manufacturing the battery in inspecting the airtightness of the battery.
CONSTITUTION: After a battery is manufactured, the exhaust cylinder or the liquid port of the battery is blocked by a rubber cap, the pressure inside the battery is reduced for flattening the cap partially, and then pressure-reduced battery is left still for a long time in a separate inspection process which does not exist in the manufacturing process. It is checked whether the cap is flattened or not and the degree of airtightness of the battery according to the flatness.
