Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain strong and highly bright X rays or γ rays from even a small initial laser by accumulating laser beams with a light resonator using mirrors whose reflection factor is extremely high and using it.
CONSTITUTION: Laser beams from a laser 1 are sent to a light resonator 2, where they are accumulated. The light resonator 2 has mirrors 21 and 22 whose reflection factor is extremely high; that is, the reflection efficiency of 0.999% or more. The diagonal incidence of electron beams on this light resonator 2 causes them collide with it. In the area where they interact with each other, X rays or γ rays are generated by Compton scattering.
