Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0638092
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To set proper exposure conditions by calculating a photometric value from the value of integrating a luminance signal component extracted from a video signal with a prescribed photometric period in horizontal and vertical scanning periods.

CONSTITUTION: A luminance signal extracting means 14 extracts the luminance signal component from the video signal outputted from a CCD 4. This signal component is integrated over the first photometric period decided in the horizontal scanning period by integrating means 15 and 16, an integration signal is outputted, and a judging means 3 judges whether the integrated value is existed within a prescribed range decided in advance or not. Only the integrated value, which is decided within the prescribed range, is added over the second photometric period decided in the vertical scanning period by a photometric value calculating means 3, and the photometric value is calculated from this added value.
