Abstract:
PURPOSE: To arbitrarily control the period and travel of vertical motion of a main spindle without constraint on its rotation by driving the main spindle in rotation by a main spindle rotating motor and periodically driving an arm extended sideways from the main spindle upward by an externally attached vibrator.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of precision-polishing the inner surface of a round hole, for example, a tool 30 is inserted in the round hole of a material to be polished, and while the material to be polished is rotated, a main spindle rotating motor 25 and a vibration motor 40 of a first externally attached vibrator 38 are operated to rotate a main spindle 21 and a rotary shaft 39. An eccentric disc 41 is rotated by the rotary shaft 39 to rotate a free roller 44. By the eccentric rotation of the eccentric disc 44, the free roller 44 is moved up and down along the outer peripheral surface of the eccentric disc 41, and an arm 31 and further the main spindle 21 are moved up and down. The period of vertical motion is adjusted by adjusting the rotating speed of the vibration motor 40, and the vertical travel is adjusted by adjusting the amount of eccentricity of the eccentric disc 41.
