PURPOSE: To provide a commodity containing device which contains commodities from both right and left directions.

CONSTITUTION: A drive shaft 5 is suspended from the central part of a commodity containing column body la wherein four commodity containing columns 2c, 2d, 2e, and 2f are disposed in two rows in a lateral direction. Commodity holding plates 9c, 9d, 9e, and 9f to hold the lowermost commodities 3a contained in the commodity containing columns 2c, 2d, 2e, and 2f are hooked at a commodity output control cam plate 18 arranged at the lower end of the drive shaft 5. When the sale of a commodity is effected, the commodity output control cam plate 18 is rotated approximately in 1/4 arc and a notch part 18a is caused to front on each of the commodity holding plates 9c, 9d, 9e, and 9f. With this state, the output commodity holding plates 9c, 9d, 9e, and 9f are rotated downward to output the lowermost commodity 3a. Before the commodity 3a is outputted, pushing members 21 and 22 are pushed by means of working cams 19 and 20 arranged on the drive shaft 5 and commodity holding pieces 8b, 8c, 8d, and 8e are protruded, in the order, in the commodity containing columns 2c, 2d, 2e, and 2f to hold respective next sale commodities.
