PURPOSE: To improve the appearance or facilitate the printing display while leaving a joint part only at the peripheral edge of a pillow shaped bag by a method wherein a pillow shaped bag is manufactured by utilizing a band shaped film sheet which is formed into a specified shape, and another band shaped film sheet which is separated from the other film sheet.

CONSTITUTION: In order to manufacture a pillow shaped bag 71, a first band shaped film sheet 2 with a specified shape is first pulled out from a take-up roll 1 and is introduced to an article storage unit 45, and an article 70 is placed in this sheet 2. Also, at the same time, a second band shaped film sheet 55 which is pulled out from another take-up roll 54 is introduced to the article storage unit 45, and the article 70 is placed between these two sheets 2, 55. Then, both sheets are mutually saled, and a joint part 63 is formed. In addition, both sides in the longitudinal direction of both sheets 2, 55 are sealed for each article 70, and joint parts 68 are formed. Then, four corners 24a, 63a of both joint parts 24, 63 are mutually sealed, and a pillow shaped bag 71, which envelopes a recessed groove 15 between the four corners 24a, 63a and both joint parts 24, 63, is completed.
