Abstract:
PURPOSE: To restrain unevenness between opening valve sections caused by a high speed cam in a variable valve timing mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: In a variable valve timing mechanism for selectively driving a low speed rocker arm 6 or a high speed rocker arm 7 by a low speed cam 14 or a high speed cam 15' according to the driving state of an engine, the rate of change of a lift to the rotational angle of the ramp section of the high speed cam 15' is made larger than that of the lift of the low speed cam 14.
