Abstract:
PURPOSE: To generate an exact phase signal.
CONSTITUTION: On the rotor 48 side, N poles and S poles are magnetized alternately at a prescribed pitch 2λ for detecting the number of revolutions along the same circumferential direction, while N poles and S poles totaling four are magnetized alternately at a pitch λ being 1/2 of the magnetization pitch 2l for detection of the number of revolutions, and these magnetic poles for detection of the number of revolutions and phases are adjacent to each other. On the stator 51 side, conductive patterns 511 for detection of the number of revolutions and conductive patterns 512 for detection of phases are formed at pitches 2λ and λ respectively along the same circumferential direction. The conductive patterns 512 for detection of phases are constructed of four patterns 5121 to 5124 extending in the radial direction in lengths L1, L2, L3 and L1 respectively, and the width L1 of the first and fourth patterns 5121 and 5124 is so set as to be 0.1<L1<λ<0.3 in relation to the pitch λ in the circumferential direction thereof.
