Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make contaminate removal work automated by remote control and thereby ensure safety operation by providing a control part which determines a contaminated position on the surface of a plate cylinder based on a contaminated position on printed matter and allows a contaminant removal tool using a solenoid valve.
CONSTITUTION: An operator turns ON a power supply switch 28 on a control panel 19, then deposits printed matter 17 on a color discerning table 20 and designates a contaminated position through button operation, of a contaminated spot (b) is detected. That is, the operator presses a color designation button and then a contaminated position designation button. Unless there is any other fouled part, he presses a start switch 30 so that a control panel 18 shuts off the second solenoid valve 14 and the first solenoid valve 3 corresponding to the contaminated position. After that, an air cylinder 8 presses a contaminant removal tool 7 against the surface of a plate cylinder 1 by supply of a compressed air, and the removal tool 7 comes in contact with the surface of the plate cylinder 1 while a time circuit 26 is set to scrape off contaminants such as residual ink waste and pulverized paper. Next, if the circuit 26 is activated after the lapse of a specified time, the solenoid valve 14 is closed to allow the compressed air to be released from the cylinder 8, and the removal tool 7 is detached from the surface of the plate cylinder 1.
