PURPOSE: To obtain a material for effectively controlling a disease injury of soil, capable of stably settling an antagonistic actinomycetes capable of producing chitinase or chitosanase in soil for a long period of time.
CONSTITUTION: A material for effectively controlling a disease injury of soil comprises a chitin or a chitin-containing organic substance (e.g. powder of crab shell or krill) or chitosan, zeolite and/or shell and an antagonistic actinomycetes capable of producing chitinase or chitosanase. A bacterium belonging to the genus Streptomyces, such as Streptomyces anulatus, Streptomyces olivaceus or Streptomyces cyanogenes may be cited as the bacterium belonging to the genus Streptomyces. The blending ratio of each component is preferably 0.5-80 pts.wt. chitin, etc., 20-99.5 pts.wt. zeolite and 5-80 pts.wt. shell.
