Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the magneto-optical disk which lessens the dynamic disturbance by the foreign matter and projections on the surface of the magneto- optical disk and the magneto-optical disk device for recording information by using the magneto-optical disk.
CONSTITUTION: The magneto-optical disk 1 is constituted by laminating a recording film 3 on which the information is recorded and a protective film 4 protecting the recording film 3 by coating the film on a disk-shaped substrate 2. Ruggedness 5 having an approximately uniform depth is provided on the surface of the protective film 4.
