PURPOSE: To make it possible to open the lid of an acoustic appliance etc., being usually opened by the push operation of an operating button, even by the pull operation of the lid by a finger too, and to make the operability higher by energizing the door (lid) with a leaf spring, and providing in the operating button an elastic segment for releasing the hooking of this leaf spring.

CONSTITUTION: Concerning to an opening device for a lid 1 which is provided in the front of the front case of a VTR to hide buttons etc., usually not used very often, and keep the appearance beautiful, an elastic segment 5 is formed in one united body with an operating button 2, and this elastic segment 5 is linked to a leaf spring 3 for keeping the lid 1 at a closed position, through the medium of a protrusion 4 constituting a cam mechanism. In the case of opening the lid 1 by pulling, a protrusion 9 provided on the lid 1 is rotated by inserting a finger 8 into a recession provided at the side of the front case 6. By doing this way, the leaf spring 3 is bent in the direction of A, and the lid 1 is opened by the return force of this leaf spring 3. Besides, it is also possible to open the lid 1 by pushing the operating button 2 and bending the elastic segment 5, and bending the leaf spring 3 in the direction of A through the medium of the protrusion 4.
