PURPOSE: To provide a carrier capable of forming a developer superior in durability, resistance to producing a spent toner, and fluidity, rapid in rising of acceptance potential together producing a stable image, and small in leakage of current in the case of applying bias voltage and attachment of the carrier to a photosensitive body.
CONSTITUTION: The electrophotographic carrier is coated with a resin composition having a domain-matrix structure and containing an aliphatic metal salt, the domain particles are characterized by having an average particle diameter of ≥5μm, the resin forming the domain is characterized by having carboxylic groups, the glass transition point Tg1 of 20-70°C, and an acid value of ≥15, the resin constituting the matrix is characterized by having substantially no carboxylic group and a glass transition point Tg2 of 50-80°C and an acid value of ≤10, and Tg2≥Tg1.
