Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an ATM exchanging device equipped with a cell processor capable of creating a table address which doesn't operate continuous processing and supporting simultaneously a VP and a VC.
CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a routing tag table(RTT) including a routing tag and an output side physical VCI, routing tag adding part(RTA) which performs an access to the RTT by using an input side physical VCI as a key, and exchanges an input cell with an inside cell, new VPI/VCI table(HTT) including an exchange classification flag indicating the classification of VP exchange/VC exchange by each connection and the VPI/VIC of an output cell, and routing tag deleting part(RTD) which performs an access to the HTT by using the output side physical VCI in the inside cell from a cell switch as the key, switches whether the VPI in the entry of the HTT is written on a VPI field, or the VPI and VCI in the entry of the HTT are written on the VPI and VCI field according to the exchange classification flag, and exchanges the inside cell with the output cell.
