Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect faulty synchronization in a short time even when a phase change in the same direction is consecutive.
SOLUTION: The detector is provided with an up-down counter 103, which counts down number of clocks by a prescribed count when a sign of a phase change for the first half of a symbol period differs from a sign of a phase change for the latter half, counts up number of clocks by a prescribed count that is smaller than the prescribed count above when a sign of a phase change for the first half of the symbol period differs from a sign of a phase change for the latter half, and when the count is decreased up to a predetermined count, it is recognized as occurrence of symbol timing faulty synchronization.
