Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a rotary head type recording/reproducing device capable of reproducing having no crosstalk without providing a reproducing head during an exclusive recording.

CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with four recording/reproducing heads Ha to d having azimuth angles attached to a rotary drum via shifting means Ba to Dd, a shift driving means 21 for sequentially switching shift driving currents and supplying them to shifting means, recording head switching means 14a to d for sequentially switching four heads and connecting video recording signals to them and reproducing head switching means 15 a to d for sequentially switching four heads and connecting them to video reproducing circuits. Then, an ontrack is made to a track recorded by supplying a shift current to the shifting means of a head not being recorded and having the same azimus angle as the recorded track, a video signal is read from the track of a recording tape while the other head is recorded and a reproduction is processed.
