PURPOSE: To allow the safe and rapid attachment and detachment of an air breathing apparatus by providing a cylinder holder which can fix and open a cylinder, a back rest which can be moved forward and driving means for such holder and rest at the time of mounting and housing the air breathing apparatus to a base frame.
CONSTITUTION: The base frame 1 is perpendicularly provided behind the chair in a fire truck and the cylinder holder 11 is provided therein in such a manner that the holder can be fixed in the vertical direction of the cylinder 102 constituting the main part of the air breathing apparatus and can be opened forward. The back rest 31 is provided on both front sides of the base frame 1 movably in forward and backward directions. The cylinder holder 11 is driven by the driving means consisting of an operating lever 16 and a cam mechanism 17. The back rest 31 is driven by the driving means consisting of a parallel crank mechanism 32 and an electric stroke motor 33. The cylinder is fixed to the holder 11 and a fire fighter can seat at the time of housing the air breathing apparatus according to the above-mentioned constitution. The fire fighter can take out the cylinder in the seated posture at the time of mounting the air breathing apparatus. The fire fighter can then hold the cylinder on his back and can act by leaving from the seat.
