Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller driving gear for a marine propeller capable of solving a problem of wearing in a spline connection part, eliminating a chatter in a thrust transmission part and preventing generation of an abnormal sound by using a propeller shaft of single axis.
SOLUTION: This propeller driving gear comprises a pinion 34 mounted in an engine drive shaft, forward/reverse gear 32, 33 mutually opposed to be fitted capable of idle rotating to a propeller shaft to mutually oppositely rotate, clutch unit selectively meshed with the forward/reverse gear to transmit its rotation to the propeller shaft, and a forward/reverse thrust transmission part 53, 54 provided in a propeller shaft 28 to transmit thrust force acting therein to a propeller casing. Here, the propeller shaft 28 is constituted by a single member, both the thrust transmission parts 53, 54 are arranged together in one outer side from both the gears 32, 33, and a distance in a direction of the propeller shaft 28 of both the thrust transmission parts 53, 54 is set shorter than a distance at least between support ends of both the gears 32, 33.
