PURPOSE: To prevent periodical or nonperiodical flawing or partial deformation, etc., of a corrugated pipe by interposing a caterpiller take-up motion between a corrugator and a winder, and exerting the corrugated pipe delivered from the corrugator with constant tension using a take-up force control means.
CONSTITUTION: A comparison operation controller uses a reference tension reference value with a detected value from a distortion gauge, thereby controlling the speed of a drive motor M to increase or reduce the same. Then a detected value from a corrugation linear velocity detector is simultaneously input for computations, so that the tension is kept at an optimum value. The tension of the corrugated pipe 1 delivered from the corrugator 13 is thus held constant and the pitch of the waves of the corrugated pipe 1 is held constant so as to prevent the corrugated pipe 1 from being flawed periodically or nonperiodically.
