Abstract:
PURPOSE:To carry out branching and connecting operation in an excellent atmosphere outside a manhole of a drainage system by utilizing as a branch point of an optical fiber cable and fitting a branching and connection part of the optical fiber cable to the lid of the manhole. CONSTITUTION:The lid 31 is thread-cut and a fitting is fitted. Then a branching and connection box 4 is fixed to this fitting. The side wall of the manhole 3 is digged, the fitting 33 for an optical fiber cable excessive-length storage part 33 is fitted, and the optical fiber cable excessive-length storage part 33 is fixed. Then the branching and connecting operation for the optical fiber cable is performed in an atmosphere outside the manhole. Consequently, the branching operation is easily performed in safety without entering inferior operation environment.
