PURPOSE: To enable smooth feeding of a heat insulating sheet in an apparatus which laminates the heat insulating sheet on the surface of a heated steel sheet by welding by removing an obstacle to the sheet feeding caused by the fusion of the cut end of the heat insulating sheet on the cutting edge of a cutter for the sheet which is affected by high temperatures in a furnace during operation.

CONSTITUTION: On the feeding side of a cutter 28 for a heat insulating sheet 3 are installed the following units: a feed roller 34 which feeds time heat insulating sheet 3 after pulling back the cut end of the sheet 3 by holding it temporarily; a motor cylinder 36 which moves the feed roller 34 vertically; and a pulling back device consisting of a press roller 37 and its driving motor 35.
