Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a dielectric level gauge which can effectively detect levels of a wide range of substances from a detected body with a high dielectric constant to one with a low electric constant, which is little sensitive to an influence of a deposit, which can detect a level of a substance whose dielectric constant largely varies due to temperature or pressure, and which is excellent in safety being free from occurrence of accidents such as taking fire or explosion.
CONSTITUTION: A level gauge includes a microwave transmitter 10 for transmitting microwaves at a lower part and a microwave receiver 11 for receiving the microwaves which rise from a lower part to an upper part and includes a guiding member 14 for leading the microwaves transmitted from the microwave transmitter 10 to the microwave receive 11, wherein the guiding member 14 comprises a solid guide body 19 with at least a portion of it forming a U-shaped curve.
