Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fuel injection pump which reduces passage resistance of a fuel passage formed on a plunger for smoothing flow of fuel, and speedily letting the fuel inside a pum chamber escape at the time of completing injection.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel passage 12 forme on a plunger 10 is prepared by joining a longitudinal hole 13 and a transverse hole 14 are each other with an obtuse crossing angle, or prepared by communicating a curved passage which has a specified radius of curvature. The fuel passage, without being bent abruptly on the way thereof, has a little passage resistance for smoothing flow of the fuel.
