Abstract:
PURPOSE: To greatly reduce burden upon a sender and a carrier and to substantially eliminate errors in receipt of goods, by sending an invoice in the form of an electronic data file from the sender to the carrier, and by printing a tag in accordance with the content of the invoice on the sender side with the use of a printer and a common sheet,
CONSTITUTION: A computer 1 on the sender side prepares invoice data. A single data format is used for the invoice data, and is common for all main carriers. A tag 2a is prepared by a tag preparing device 2, and for the tag 2, a tag sheet 2b which is common to all carriers is used so that necessary items are printed on the tag in reference to the invoice data. A person in charge for accumulation in the carrier refers goods 5 and the content of the invoice data which are relied on his carrier, and prints necessary items on the tag. If they are completely coincident with each other, a receipt is issued. Next, the confirmed invoice data is set to the carrier or is delivered to the person in charge for accumulation. The carrier reads the invoice data with the use of a computer in the carrier, and printing is made on a paper slip in accordance with the invoice data.
